In April 2010, The Wordsley School decided to change their management information system (MIS), as it just wasn’t meeting their needs.
The school switched to SIMS as they needed a system that held all the data in one place and is centred around the child.
SIMS is now an integral part of the school, with staff making better use of pupil information, SEN support and data analysis tools. Teachers have classroom access and record session and lesson registration in SIMS Lesson Monitor and the timetable is produced in Nova T6.
Helen Griffiths, Assistant Headteacher said: “We can already see the benefit of moving to SIMS. Classroom staff can’t believe how easy SIMS is to use and they already feel more secure about challenging students on their attendance – there have been a few attendance issues we have been able to highlight and address. Everything you need is within easy reach, and the Pupil Teacher view is priceless.”
